Get answers to common questions about Extension 2 Row Move Up.
We recommend scheduling an Extension 2 Row Move Up every 4–6 weeks to maintain placement, comfort, and longevity. Timing varies with growth rate and lifestyle, and during your visit we’ll assess bond condition and advise the best return interval.
When performed by certified stylists, the move up is gentle and designed to protect your natural hair. We carefully remove, inspect, and reattach bonds, minimizing stress while monitoring scalp health and recommending adjustments to prevent breakage.
A typical two-row move up takes about 45–90 minutes depending on bond type, hair density, and any blending or styling. This includes inspection, cleaning, reattachment, and styling so your extensions are secure and seamless.
Minor color blending or toning to match your extensions can often be done during the move up, but full-color services are best scheduled separately. We prioritize bond integrity and will advise the safest approach for any chemical work.
Clean hair is preferred for move-ups; please come with dry, product-free hair if possible. Heavy oils or conditioners can interfere with bond adhesion. If needed, we can clarify and prepare your hair at the salon before service.
Aftercare includes gentle brushing, avoiding oil-based products near the roots, and using sulfate-free shampoos to preserve bonds. Sleep protection and loose styling help, and returning every 4–6 weeks keeps your extensions secure and healthy.
